Great find for a basic room for a weekend getaway. Location can't be beat. Rooms were clean. A bit dated but all facilities were there including microwave, fridge and even some toiletries.
You cannot beat the location- I think that's how we could overlook the no-frills room. Luckily we spent minimal time in the room. The patio and pool were great and the ocean views and beach being right there- you can't beat the scenery.
My family & I stayed here in the summer of 14' and even though the décor is a bit dated we didn't mind that at all. The staff was very friendly and my parents and I had such an amazing time. It was honestly one of the best summers that I can remember. Plus, its a nice distance from the beach, not to far and not to close. My husband and I are currently looking to see if we can make a trip there for next summer. Hope this place can still stay open =)
Typical shore motel with a beautiful pool. Nice owners, I forgot a bathing suit and they called me and held onto it. Rooms were dated but didn't smell musty. Location is perfect, very last hotel in the coastline, beautiful beach and sunsets.
Everything (positive and negative) others have said is true. The location is great. The pool was nice. The staff was very friendly. The rooms were dated. Our biggest criticism was how musty the room smelled. It was very humid in the room. When we checked in it had not been raining and wasn't humid out but the smell was almost overwhelming. The smell lingered on everything we had in the room and had to be cleaned when we got home. One other big problem... I had a room on the first level. My daughter and I walked up to the second level walkway to get a better look at the ocean and the floor up there was really soft and felt like the wood underneath the carpet could give out if I ran or gave it a decent stomp. I'm sure a safety inspection needs to be done up there. My wife and I agreed that we would plan further ahead and spring for a nicer place the next time we go to Cape May.
