Outstanding location, of course! A literal stone's throw from the beach and right next to the Rusty Nail, a delicious Cape May mainstay. Good sized, clean rooms. Comfy beds, newer furniture & fixtures, and a fun beach decor without being tacky. A delightfully simple and charming beach hotel!
Clean, spacious rooms. Just across the street from the beach. Friendly staff. We love this place. We are here in October and the hotel is still packed. This is our new fall getaway destination.
Absolutely beautiful renovation job at this motel. Love everything that Cape Resorts touches. This motel has fresh rooms, perfect location and steps away from one of the best bar/restaurants around (Rusty Nail). I lucked out with a last minute Horwire booking. This was the nicest motel I ever stayed at.
Large rooms, very clean, recently renovated. Concierge is very accommodating, helped us right away with parking issues and some room issues. Owned by Congress Hall so you have access to a lot of their amenities, like private beach, free chairs and towels and umbrella set up for you at no charge. Rusty Nail is loud, but they turn the music way down at 8:30. Pool is heated and pleasant.
Even in December, the Beach Shack gives off beachy, care free vibes. My girlfriends and I stayed here for a girls weekend and there was plenty of room for all of us in the bunk room (King bed, 2 twin bunks, and a pull out couch). It's a 10 minute walk to the downtown Cape May area (shopping, eating, drinking). The hotel employees were attentive and helpful - all around a great stay!
