Additionally, the real estate agency has had to email and call several times to get the details so they can figure out what happened and why this charge was posted. Although I am sending the $22.74 out in the mail today, (mainly to stop the phone calls and emails), we do not believe this charge is our responsibility. The owner has to figure out her cable contract so this does not happen to other families. Such a tiny amount of money but bothersome enough to write this review.
Now, nobody in our family WOULD add HBO. The button may have been pushed inadvertently but ADDING HBO to the owner's bill, now that just doesn't make sense. We are being charged $22.74 by the owner. HMMM, after THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS, you'd think she may overlook this charge.
Great house for our large family. Excellent location. One wacky thing though was of concern. We had one rain soaked day and the kids wanted to watch tv. Whether it was a Comcast glitch or the way the owner set up her account on the tv, but an HBO subscription was added to the owner's bill.
After getting past the creepy history of cape may we checked into the John F Craig house. We were welcomed with a big smile from barbara and her grand daughter chloe. After getting a brief tour of the house we were shown our room. the room was lovely and comfortable. Everyone was nice (hosts, guests, and maid). However after making our reservation we were asked to give any comments to food allergies and special requests. I mentioned that my girlfriend was allergic to gluten and dairy. We were told that accommodations would be made. After all isnt the perk of a b and b, the free, homemade breakfast. Well while the breakfast was good, they failed to accommodate my girlfriend. Would it have been too hard for them to scramble up 2 eggs without cheese. I feel if you cant accommodate, then dont bother asking to. Bottom line, cape may is a great place to stay and would recommend the JFCH but dont make any requests.
The pictures online do not do this home justice! One must visit themselves to truly experience this historical gem! Even more incredibe was the world class hospitality from Barbara and Chip-truly a rarity these days! Even the spirits were friendly! ;-)
