We saw many dolphin
My family came to cape may from over 300 miles away for vacation and our main thing we wanted to do was see the whales. We paid extra for my family to see the dolphins and whales there was 11 of us all together. We had 7 children with us that really wanted to see whales. We did see some dolphins but never saw any whales. We asked about a compensation like something to eat for the kids or some money back since we didn't see any whales and paid extra to see them and the captain just laughed and the researcher lady just said we can't control nature and we don't compensate. But they have an evening cruise with pizza and a drink. And let me tell you the pizza is a small microwave pizza that has very small slices. So needless to say that was the worst thing for this trip. Wouldn't recommend setting your heart or kids heart and seeing a whale. Or even eating the food. The hotdogs are $3 and the very small pizza slices were $4 that's ridiculous if you ask me. And they will not let you bring your own food or drink. Please make sure that you are not hungry when you go on this trip. The researcher would not speak for a while then say something about the whales but there wasn't any siting it was just a let down. Every time she started talking about the whales the kids thought there was one and jumped up. It's pretty bad when you have kids that would rather nap then anything cause the ride was so boring.
Fun experience with the kids. You are just about assured a dolphin sighting, would not expect to see whales though. The boat offers snacks and regular as well as adult drinks. Good way to spend a few hours. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. There is usually a Group on also, so you can save yourself a little scratch.
We had a great trip on 8/22/17
It was not a trip but simply horror. From the very beginning, a rude man in the parking lot explained nothing, but said that our coupons from Groupon they do not accept today. Then on landing a hundred times repeated that you can not take with you to the ship, neither water nor food. Although no one followed this. But the most important thing is that in 3 hours of droning in the ocean they could not find a single whale, and we returned with nothing.
The guide was very helpful & informative BUT they should advise all passengers to take Dramamine before coming on board! I took my family & was busy tending to my seasick children & spouse the whole time instead of enjoying the boat ride. Other than that we did get to see the dolphins & whales...
