Today I visited Valentino's and I purchased a Roman Coin dated 200-400 AD
My husband and I met with Valentino to determine if we had anything of value in our coin collection. He was very helpful and I feel, very honest. Valentino knew about the coins before we barely put them in front of him. He was so knowledgeable. It was easy to see he loves his profession. I got two German medals and my brother got a Marines prayer pouch and it is every very unique pieces....I'm hoping to comeback for more great ww2 memorabilia in the future
It was very reasonable priced. The owner who had helped us was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The coin was in great condition . The owner realized that the coin should have been priced higher but honored the ticket price. Nice place to visit . Its one of our favorite place to stop while visiting Cape May. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
A unique shop and amazing experience. Valentino, the owner is honest, friendly and knowledgeable. If you don't know if what you have is valuable- whether a coin, jewelry or antique item you can go there with full confidence. Not only will Valentino tell you all about it but actually show you what it's value is and then he allows you to make an offer - it's very open and transparent - everything is comfortable and at your pace. I sold some coins I had, made a few extra bucks, talked about the history of the coins I brought and left knowing I was happy with my sale. Valentino and his family genuinely befriend his customers - even if you decide not to sell or buy anything.
As an avid collector/seller of military antiques, I can safely say there is no better location than Valentino's. The quality of the antiques is better than superb! I cannot properly express how much I love going to this shop. I have gone down to cape may for the past 3 years, and EVERY time I make sure I get to Valentino's. He stands behind his word and is an amazingly friendly guy. Can't wait to go again.
