The place is a dump ,the owners are inbreeds, stealing and fights are common there.Forget about it.

Our family grew up in this campsite. We have been coming down here since 1968. The McPhearson family runs the campsite . Its a quiet peaceful camp and doesn't cater to loud obnoxious groups of people. During the 1960's it hosted many Canadians when the dollar was strong along with our economy. Tents are not allowed anymore if you have a pop up trailer or mobilehome you are welcome. . Bad points about this campsite is no swimming pool or movies activities atms or jetski's. This is just a basic campsite. So if your a weekend warrior who likes to toss down a few dozen beers just forget it.

I've brought my kids to this campground by pure chance eight years ago, and spent every summer there from the ages of 4 and 6, they now are 16 and 18. We'll have those memories for ever of the best place to raise the kids, we met what still are lifelong friends. The owners have been there for us all no matter what was ever needed, (the things you learn when you first get a camper!!!) ( Thanks Doug and Mary Lou!!!) My kids and friends will forever have this perfect place in our hearts and are sadly slowly having to move on... Kids get through high school, start work, college and the hardest, the camp ground is closing after next season.... (We even wanted to buy this great place and keep coming.) Thanks from the bottom of all our hearts for the most memorable years of all our lives. May you and your family enjoy many new memories and you'll always be in our hearts.....Be well...

Their slogan is "old time camping at its best", but they won't let you setup a tent. They only rent to campers. Not sure how this creates less work for them. Woman who runs the place is pretty rude.

I was a bicycle tourist coming through the area. I called about 11:-00 PM on a friday night, looking for a place to stay, and I was told to basically "F**k off". Not a nice person. She sounded like a woman in her fifties. We are a large bicycle touring group on the east coast. 750 members. I'll certainly tell anyone on our newsletter that this is not a place to stay.
